Allen was in the Maggie Valley Area in Septmember of 2008 on a trip with his son's boy scout troop. While at a local gas station, Allen bumped into museum curator, Dale Walksler, in the check-out line, and Dale told them about the museum, graciously offering to give the troop a personal tour during their visit. Allen obliged and brought the troop to Wheels Through Time for an afternoon of fun. After a great tour and a bit of swapping stories, Allen decided to buy a few raffle tickets, and the rest is history!

The museum, which houses the world’s premier collection of rare and historic American motorcycles and unique automobiles, openned the 60-day exhibit, Motorcops: A 100 Year Love Affair Between Police and the Motorcycle, on September 26, 2008.
Motorcops will tell the story of the long-lasting relationship between law enforcement and the motorcycle.  This Thursday, September 27, 2007, motorcycle and pop culture icon, Willie G. Davidson, rode into Maggie Valley, NC with good old-fashioned American motorized history on his mind. His destination….the Wheels Through Time Museum.
